Founded in January, 1976, New York's Finest Foundation was established to provide assistance and support for the New York City Police Department and other County, State and Federal law enforcement agencies operating in the New York metropolitan area.

Through the years the Foundation has provided:

• funding for "The Beat Cop is Back" and New York City Cops Care programs
• scholarships for children of law enforcement officers
• tuition for higher education for officers
• grants for law enforcement families in times of need and emergency
• contributions to the New York City Police Museum Educational Programs
• funding for a new physical fitness center for the NYC transit police
• assistance with Operation Pride to enhance the morale of our police officers
• assistance with the purchase of bullet proof vests
• a mobile canteen van to support officers in the field
• educational seminars for public awareness.
• grants to Law Enforcement Special Olympics Programs
• grants in support of law enforcement sponsored charitable projects
